Alexandra Haynie,  Au.D. CCC-A, ABA

Doctor of Audiology

Dr Haynie brings experience from a variety of healthcare settings and has worked with patients of all ages across a wide range of hearing, tinnitus, balance, and communication-related needs. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Hofstra University and is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and additional states throughout the country, allowing her to provide both in-person and telehealth audiology services. She is also certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and board certified by the American Board of Audiology.

Her clinical background includes diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing loss treatment, tinnitus management, aural rehabilitation, vestibular audiology, hearing conservation, and custom hearing protection.

She specializes in helping patients and families better understand hearing loss, tinnitus, and the communication challenges that can affect everyday life. Because every patient's hearing journey is different, she takes the time to listen, educate, and create individualized treatment plans based on each person's unique concerns, lifestyle, and goals. Whether a patient is being fit with hearing aids, managing tinnitus, experiencing dizziness, or seeking better hearing protection, her approach is thoughtful, supportive, and centered on making care feel clear and comfortable.

Her understanding of hearing loss extends beyond her clinical role. As the parent of a child born with hearing loss, she personally understands the emotional side of navigating hearing healthcare, making decisions, and advocating for the best possible care. This personal experience has deepened her compassion for the individuals and families she serves and continues to inspire her commitment to providing care that is both clinically informed and genuinely empathetic.

In addition to her work with patients, she currently serves as adjunct faculty at Touro University in New York, where she helps educate future healthcare professionals. She is also affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan as a vestibular audiologist, diagnosing and treating patients experiencing dizziness and balance-related concerns. Her professional work also includes involvement in hearing conservation programs, providing custom ear protection and hearing healthcare services for individuals working in noisy environments, including sites such as National Grid, Con Edison, Phillips 66, and PepsiCo, among others.

At Haynie Audiology, her mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate hearing care that helps every patient feel heard, understood, and supported. She is dedicated to helping individuals communicate more confidently, protect their hearing, improve their quality of life and feel empowered.
