Oticon Reveal Hearing Aids — Freehold, NJ

The World's First Dual AI Hearing Aid

Bringing You Closer to Natural Hearing with Dual AI

Oticon Reveal Hearing Aids

Every previous hearing aid platform has faced the same architectural limitation: one AI system trying to do two opposing jobs simultaneously. Enhance the voice in front of you. Preserve the sounds around you. These objectives compete with each other inside a single neural network — and every manufacturer has made a different compromise between them.

On August 11, 2026, Oticon announced a different answer. The Oticon Reveal runs two dedicated AI systems at the same time — one built exclusively to enhance speech, one built exclusively to preserve environmental sound — with neither system forced to compromise for the other. It became available to order on August 24, 2026, making it among the most recently released hearing aid platforms available today.

The Dual AI System — Speech AI and Context AI

The defining innovation of the Oticon Reveal is its Dual AI architecture. Where every previous hearing aid — including the Oticon Intent — has processed sound through a single neural network, the Reveal runs two AI systems simultaneously with deliberately opposing objectives.

Speech AI is dedicated entirely to identifying and enhancing the voices of people around the wearer. It runs continuously, recognizing and lifting speech signals from the acoustic environment in real time — focusing its full processing capacity on the signal most hearing aid users are working hardest to recover.

Context AI runs at the same time but with a different purpose. It preserves and balances the surrounding environmental sounds that give the brain its spatial and situational awareness — footsteps behind you, the acoustic quality of the room, ambient cues that reduce cognitive listening effort and help the brain stay oriented in its environment. These sounds are not speech but they carry information the brain actively uses. Most hearing aid platforms suppress them in pursuit of speech clarity. The Reveal keeps them deliberately.

The result Oticon describes is a more natural, less effortful listening experience — one in which the brain receives both a clear foreground and a complete background simultaneously, rather than a sharpened foreground at the cost of a flattened room.

What Oticon Claims — And What to Know About the Evidence

Oticon launched the Reveal with a set of performance claims from internal research. For patients who want to understand what is independently confirmed versus what is manufacturer-reported, here is an honest breakdown.

Oticon's internal research reports a 60% stronger brain response compared to the Oticon Intent, up to 25 dB more available gain than three major competitors from a new feedback management system, up to 91% predicted speech access — approximately 10% higher than the closest competitor — and 94% of users preferred Reveal over Intent in comparative listening. All of these figures come from Oticon's own internal research published at launch.

For patients who value being on the most current platform from a manufacturer with Oticon's strong independent verification track record, the Reveal is a compelling choice.

Hardware, Connectivity, and Features

Several aspects of the Reveal are confirmed in the hardware itself and do not depend on clinical performance claims.

Style: The Reveal launches in a single style — the miniRITE R, a small rechargeable receiver-in-canal device. There is no behind-the-ear model and no custom in-the-ear option at this time. Patients who require a BTE should consider the Oticon Intent, which offers both the miniRITE R and miniBTE R. Patients who want an invisible in-canal device should consider the Oticon Zeal.

IP68: The highest dust and moisture resistance rating available in hearing aids — confirmed in hardware.

Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast: Bluetooth LE Audio is enabled and Auracast broadcast audio is working from day one on the Reveal — a meaningful distinction from several competitor platforms that have included Auracast hardware without enabling it at launch. Made for iPhone certified. Optimized for Android with Google Fast Pair. Hands-free calls on compatible devices.

Telecoil: Included across all four technology levels — providing compatibility with looped venues for patients who attend equipped theaters, houses of worship, or public spaces with installed hearing loop systems.

CROS transmitter: Launches alongside the Reveal for patients with single-sided deafness, extending the platform to patients the miniRITE R alone would not serve.

Oticon Companion app: Volume and program control, streaming management, Find My Hearing Aids, and remote adjustment between office visits. Compatible with the full Oticon accessory range — ConnectClip, TV Adapter 3.0, EduMic, and Remote Control 3.0.

Tinnitus Support at Every Technology Level

Oticon's Tinnitus SoundSupport is included across all four technology levels of the Reveal — not reserved for the premium tier. Every Reveal patient has access to built-in sound therapy that can be configured to their specific tinnitus profile and adjusted through the Companion app between appointments. For patients managing both hearing loss and tinnitus, the Reveal addresses both conditions simultaneously without requiring a separate device or accessory.

The Four Technology Levels

The Reveal comes in four technology tiers — Reveal 1 through Reveal 4, with Reveal 1 as the premium flagship. The Dual AI system, Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, telecoil, Tinnitus SoundSupport, and CROS compatibility are included across all four levels. The tiers differ in processing depth — the number of processing channels, noise reduction capability, and fine-tuning resolution. The differences between tiers are most noticeable in the most demanding listening environments — crowded restaurants, busy events, and complex group conversations — rather than in quiet one-to-one settings.

How the Reveal Compares to the Oticon Intent and Zeal

The Oticon Reveal, Intent, and Zeal each occupy a distinct position in the Oticon lineup — and the right choice depends on hearing loss degree, lifestyle, and form factor preference rather than simply which is newest.

Reveal vs. Intent: The Intent uses 4D sensor technology — monitoring head movement, body movement, conversation activity, and acoustic environment — to inform a single neural network. The Reveal keeps sensor-informed processing but adds a second AI system, running Speech AI and Context AI simultaneously. The Intent offers both the miniRITE R and the miniBTE R behind-the-ear style. The Reveal currently offers the miniRITE R only. Current Intent wearers who are satisfied with their devices are not obsolete — the Intent remains an excellent, independently verified platform.

Reveal vs. Zeal: The Zeal is a completely-in-canal device for patients who prioritize near-invisibility above everything else — and runs the same Sirius DNN 2.0 platform as the Intent in a single technology level. The Reveal is a miniRITE R behind-the-ear device with the new Dual AI architecture and four technology levels. They serve fundamentally different patient preferences and are not competitors to each other.

Is the Oticon Reveal Right for You?

The Reveal is most suited for adults with mild to severe hearing loss who want Oticon's most current platform in the miniRITE R form factor. Patients who have found previous hearing aids satisfactory in quiet but fatiguing or incomplete in complex listening environments — restaurants, social events, group conversations — are the demographic the Dual AI system most directly addresses. Patients who prioritize Auracast working from day one, Google Fast Pair, and Bluetooth LE Audio will find the Reveal's connectivity fully enabled at launch. Patients managing tinnitus alongside hearing loss will benefit from Tinnitus SoundSupport across all technology levels.

The Reveal is not the right choice for patients who require a BTE style, a custom in-the-ear device, or a disposable battery option. Patients who strongly value independent performance verification before committing may prefer to wait for HearAdvisor testing. Current Intent wearers who are satisfied with their devices do not need to upgrade immediately — the Intent remains a clinically validated and independently top-rated platform.

The Fitting — Real Ear Measurement and What to Expect

At Haynie Audiology, every Oticon Reveal fitting follows the same best-practices protocol applied to every hearing aid we fit:

  1. Comprehensive hearing evaluation — establishing your complete audiogram and confirming the Reveal's fitting range is appropriate for your hearing loss

  2. Technology level selection — matching the right tier to your hearing loss degree, lifestyle, and listening demands

  3. Real ear measurement verification — a probe microphone placed at the eardrum confirms the Reveal is delivering the prescribed amplification for your specific ear canal anatomy and hearing profile. No platform performs on specification alone — verification at the eardrum is what translates a manufacturer's claims into the result you actually experience

  4. Companion app and connectivity setup — Auracast configuration, Google Fast Pair, streaming setup, Tinnitus SoundSupport activation where applicable

  5. Counseling and orientation — walking you through what to expect from the Dual AI system, the adjustment period, and how to get the most from your devices from day one
