Signia

The world's first platform with four dedicated deep neural networks. Expertly fit and verified with Real Ear Measurement at our Freehold, NJ office.

A Legacy of Innovation — Now Part of the World's Largest Hearing Care Group

Full Signia hearing aid line up rechargeable

Signia's roots go back to Siemens Hearing Instruments — one of the most respected names in hearing aid engineering for over 140 years. In 2016 the hearing division became its own independent brand under the Signia name, and in 2019 it became part of WS Audiology — the world's largest hearing aid manufacturer group, formed through the merger of Sivantos and Widex. Today Signia is one of the world's most distributed prescription hearing aid brands, available in more than 90 countries and consistently at the forefront of AI-driven hearing technology.

At Haynie Audiology, we fit the current Signia lineup and verify every device with real ear measurement so each patient experiences what Signia's platform is genuinely capable of delivering.

Own Voice Processing — The Feature That Changes How Hearing Aids Feel

Here is the most common reason first-time hearing aid users abandon their devices in the first few months: their own voice sounds wrong. Too loud, too hollow, too different from how they remember it. Standard amplification processes the wearer's voice the same way it processes everything else — which means the acoustic characteristics of self-generated speech, arriving through both air and bone conduction simultaneously, create an unnatural result that many patients find disorienting enough to stop wearing their devices entirely.

Signia's Own Voice Processing — OVP — addresses this directly and is unique to Signia. The system processes the wearer's own voice on a completely separate audio stream from all external sounds. It identifies self-generated speech by the distinct acoustic characteristics of vibration originating from the wearer's own larynx, and processes it independently — delivering a natural, comfortable own-voice experience while maintaining the amplification applied to external sounds. The result is a hearing aid that sounds correct from the first day of wear rather than requiring weeks of adjustment. OVP is available across all current Signia devices and is among the most clinically significant features in the lineup for patients who have previously tried and abandoned hearing aids.

The Integrated Xperience Platform — Dual-Stream AI Processing

The Integrated Xperience platform — launched in September 2023 and still the foundation of most current Signia devices — introduced a processing architecture that was genuinely new at its launch: two synchronized processors handling speech and background sound as separate, parallel audio streams.

Where most hearing aid platforms run speech enhancement and noise reduction through a single shared processor that must balance both simultaneously, the IX platform routes these two tasks to dedicated processing streams that run concurrently. One stream focuses entirely on the speech of the people around the wearer. One stream manages the background environment independently. They are combined and delivered as a single, balanced listening experience — but the AI behind each stream never has to compromise its performance to serve the other task.

The practical result of this architecture is RealTime Conversation Enhancement — the world's first system to track multiple moving speakers simultaneously. In a group conversation where people are turning, moving, or switching who is speaking — a restaurant table, a family gathering, a meeting room — RealTime Conversation Enhancement follows each voice dynamically rather than committing to a fixed directional focus. For patients whose primary challenge is group conversation in noisy environments, this is the feature that makes Signia's IX platform distinctively effective.

Two Platforms — IX and MaX

Signia currently operates two active hearing aid platforms — and understanding the distinction between them helps patients select the right device before the fitting consultation.

Integrated Xperience (IX) — launched September 2023 and the foundation of most current Signia devices. Dual-stream AI processing with RealTime Conversation Enhancement, Own Voice Processing, and a broad range of form factors including the slim Styletto, the nearly invisible Silk CIC, and the standard Pure Charge&Go RIC. Independently tested by HearAdvisor and well-reviewed. The IX platform is Signia's most widely fit and most field-validated option.

Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX) — launched August 24, 2026 as Signia's newest flagship. The world's first hearing aid platform powered by four dedicated deep neural networks — each handling a separate component of the listening challenge simultaneously. A significant architectural step forward from the IX platform. Currently available as the Pure Charge&Go MaX RIC, with additional form factors expected to follow.

Both platforms are available at Haynie Audiology. The right choice between them depends on your hearing loss, your listening priorities, and an honest clinical conversation — which is exactly what the fitting consultation is for.

The Signia Lineup

Signia offers a range of hearing aids across both the IX and MaX platforms covering different form factors, hearing loss profiles, and lifestyle preferences. We fit and verify each one at our Freehold office:

  • Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX — Signia's newest flagship RIC, launched August 2026. The world's first four-DNN hearing aid platform. OneConnect Technology with Bluetooth Classic, LE Audio, telecoil, and Auracast in one device. For patients who want Signia's most current and most advanced processing.

  • Signia Pure Charge&Go IX — The IX platform's flagship RIC. RealTime Conversation Enhancement, Own Voice Processing, and dual-stream AI processing in a rechargeable device. Independently tested and well-reviewed. The most widely fit current Signia model.

  • Signia Styletto IX — The world's slimmest RIC hearing aid. The same IX processing platform in a distinctive, fashion-forward slim body with a premium portable charging case. For patients who want hearing aid performance without hearing aid aesthetics.

  • Signia Silk Charge&Go IX — A nearly invisible rechargeable completely-in-canal device. Full IX platform processing in one of the smallest and most discreet hearing aids available. No ear impression required — instant fit with medical-grade silicone click sleeves.

Each of these is explained in more detail on its own page — and part of our job is helping you understand which platform and form factor genuinely matches your hearing loss and lifestyle.

Why the Fitting Matters as Much as the Platform

Signia's IX platform has been independently tested by HearAdvisor and performed strongly. The MaX platform's performance claims are based on Signia's own internal research at launch. In both cases, what the research reflects is a device fitted correctly — with real ear measurement verification confirming that the amplification delivered at the eardrum matches the patient's audiogram precisely.

A hearing aid programmed to manufacturer defaults without verification will not perform at the level the platform is capable of — regardless of how many neural networks it runs. At Haynie Audiology, real ear measurement is standard at every fitting regardless of the device or platform. It is the difference between what a hearing aid can do and what it actually does in your ear.

Experience Signia in Freehold, NJ

Signia is a strong choice for patients who have previously tried hearing aids and abandoned them because their own voice sounded wrong — Own Voice Processing addresses that directly. It is also a strong choice for patients whose primary challenge is following group conversation in noisy environments, and for patients who want the most current AI architecture available in August 2026. It is one of several outstanding options we offer, and the right choice depends on your hearing loss, your priorities, and an honest conversation about what matters most to you.
